I get this answer whenever I'm typing a question to Rovo:
CircuitBreaker 'gpt-5.2-2025-12-11' is OPEN and does not permit further calls
What should I do?
Hello @camila_medrano @Sudtavee Maneerit
The "circuit breaker is OPEN" message means the underlying AI model Rovo relies on is temporarily overloaded. A circuit breaker a safety mechanism that blocks requests to a struggling service to give it time to recover.
Thats also why it Dissapearing after Couple minutes from Itself because its temporary backend problem.

That error looks like a service-side issue rather than a problem with your prompt. The message indicates that the underlying model endpoint is temporarily unavailable or rejecting requests, which can happen during outages, capacity limits, or maintenance activities.
I'd recommend trying again after some time and checking the Atlassian status page for any ongoing incidents affecting Rovo services. Hope this helps. If it resolves your issue, please consider accepting the answer if you found this helpful so it can help others facing the same problem. Thanks!

Yashodip Jadhav.

I just ran into this too—got the sameCircuitBreaker 'gpt-5.2-2025-12-11' is OPEN and does not permit further calls
I waited ~15 minutes and it started working again without any changes.
Does anyone know what typically triggers this? Also curious if there’s a way to monitor model health/status or get alerts when this happens.
