I created a project role without giving it any permission yet I could assign it to my project

Hello,

I created a role "scrum master" in the Projet Roles configuration and then, when I went back to my project and clicked on people to add to my project, I found that the "scrum master" role exists in the drop down menu. How is this possible given that I haven't assigned any permissions to the role and I haven't assigned it to any permission schemes?

How do I know which permissions does this role have?

Thank you

Hi @Rim Ben Rejab! Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It´s normal that you can select the project role if you actually created, that doesn´t mean that that role have permissions in the project.

You can check what permissions the role have in the "Permission" section (Permission Scheme) and in the "Security Level" part if you have one.

I see, so It is useless since I haven't assigned it to a permission scheme.

thank you by the way ;)
