I can't uninstall Jira Core on Windows.

I want to uninstall Jira Core from my local Windows PC. However, when I try to uninstall Jira Core—after selecting “Uninstall” from “Add or Remove Programs” and clicking “Next” on the uninstallation screen—the uninstallation screen closes immediately. If you know how to resolve this issue, please let me know.

This is an issue on your device not with the software.

Are you sure that Jira is not running on your device, check you services.

Here in community, most of us are Atlassian users like yourself, not (necessarily) employees of Atlassian. We don't have access to your device.

@Marc -Devoteam- is right; Jira might be running. A few things I would check on the machine:

• Stop the service "Atlassian ..." under Services and set it to Manual so it does not restart.
• Check Task Manager > Details and end any lingering java.exe or Tomcat process.
• Look in autostart (Task Manager > Startup) in case it relaunches on login.

Once nothing is running, you can check if there's an uninstaller link in the Start Menu depending on the version. Right-click it and select 'Run as administrator.' If the screen closes immediately, it often means there are locked files or permission issues, with a running service being the usual cause. Alternatively, try logging in with a user account that has local administrator rights on Windows, if available.

  Thank you for the detailed suggestions!

  I've checked each one, but unfortunately the issue remains:

  - There is no "Atlassian ..." service in the Services list — it does not exist on this

  machine.

  - Confirmed in Task Manager > Details that no java.exe, Tomcat or xampp processes are running.

  - Also confirmed that neither relaunches on login.

  Despite nothing running, the uninstaller still closes immediately when run as Administrator. I'm logged in with a local admin account as well.
