Hi @Ирина

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I checked the Status Page; no Ongoing incident is reported.

Could you try clearing your browser cache or using incognito mode?

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting Atlassian Support, or if you are not the Site Admin, inform your Site Admin to contact Atlassian Support, providing the Trace ID.

Hi @Ирина

Thanks for reaching out and sharing those details!

The error you're seeing typically indicates a transient server-side issue during domain creation. This can happen due to a temporary backend hiccup, a conflict with an existing domain name, or a validation check that didn't complete successfully on Atlassian's end.

Here are a few things worth trying before contacting support directly:

  1. Wait a few minutes and retry — transient errors often resolve on their own.

  2. Check if the domain name is already taken — try a slightly different domain name to rule out a naming conflict.

  3. Try a different browser or incognito mode — this rules out any cached session or extension interference.

  4. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then attempt the domain creation again.

  5. Check the Atlassian Status Page to see if there's an ongoing incident affecting your product.

If none of the above resolves the issue, please take these steps:

  • Create a ticket with our support team through the Atlassian Support Portal

  • Select Other and skip the Provide the related URL, SEN, EN or invoice number (if applicable) if you don’t have this information

  • Describe your issue, provide your Trace ID (the one shown in the error message), and add a link to this Forum post

This ID allows the support team to look up the exact request in their logs and investigate what went wrong on the backend.

💡 Tip: When submitting a support ticket, include the full error message, the Trace ID, the product you're using (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and the steps you took before the error appeared — this speeds up the investigation significantly.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you're still running into trouble after trying the above.

Best,
Samuil
