I can't get email notification if someone added comment to the ticket I watched. But if some tag me in the comment, I can get the email notification. Is there any one can help me out here?

Hi @Yvonne Wang and welcome to the Community!

The fact that you receive email notifications when someone tags (@mentions) you, is good news. It means that Jira recognises your email address and that it is capable of reaching you via email.

Apart from your personal settings, Jira has notification settings per project that may be more restrictive than your personal settings. In order for you to receive an email when a comment is added to an issue you are watching, that project's notification settings must be configured to send notifications to all watchers when that event occurs.

If you manage that project yourself, check the notification settings for that project. If you are not, reach out to a Jira administrator in your organisation to verify this for you.

Hope this helps!

Hello @Yvonne Wang ,
Welcome to the community !!

With emails being received for tags, means notification are working and not moving into spam/junk of your mailbox. .

The project might not have 'send notification to watcher for an update' which you may ask your project/jira admin (if you are admin, you can by self).

Refer this about understanding the notification scheme.
