Why on earth have you made your application this complicated? I lost access to my project or space or whatever you guys call it. I am able to see tickets in my board but am not able to see the board itself.

I am the org admin and was able to see this and now I cant. I have tried giving all access to my user under the user management tab but that doesnt work. Now I have lost access to rovo as well...please help

Hi Joe,
As you can see tickets but not board, il looks like you already have access to you project (browse permession).

When you click on search bar, then click on boards (at the bottom) can you find your board?

I would suggest to check board's filter permission, if it's no longer shared with you, then you will lose access to the board

Hello @Joy ,

Good day! Welcome to atlassian commnunity :)

After reading your issue description, I can see you are running into a permissions/board-visibility issue and not a “project access” one and org admin alone does not automatically guarantee access to every board.

There are 2 reasons why you are not able to access the concerned board:

  • Board filter is private or the filter is not shared with you

  • Board’s location project/space is something where you dont have Browse/space access to

Reference: https://support.atlassian.com/jira/kb/board-does-not-exist-or-you-do-not-have-permission-to-view-error-in-jira/

Please go ahead and check the filter permissions and you should be able to access once you have access to the filter.

Hi Joy - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Being an Org Admin doesn't automatically give you access to all things in Jira to do all things. There is not "super" user function like that.

Having access to a Board depends on the sharing of the Board filter used by the Board. If that is not shared with you, then you can't see it.
