Position: Agile Tooling Coach / Jira Administrator
Duration: 8-month contract (strong chance to extend)
Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card only
Location: Remote (must work CST or EST hours; Chicago area preferred)
Experience: 3–7 years
Must-Have Skills
- Strong Jira Administration experience (not just basic admin or "button pushing")
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian Cloud products:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Jira Align (bonus)
- Rovo AI (nice to have)
- Jira Service Management (JSM) Enterprise (plus, but not looking for a help desk JSM admin)
- Experience building workflows, dashboards, permissions, reports, and configurations
- Ability to coach and guide teams on Agile tools and best practices
- Confident enough to challenge bad requests and recommend better solutions
- Cloud experience is required (server-only experience will not work)
What You'll Do
- Administer and improve Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools
- Build and maintain workflows, dashboards, reports, and integrations
- Support Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
- Train and onboard users on Atlassian tools
- Recommend best practices and improve how teams use Agile tooling
- Create metrics and reporting (EazyBI or Tableau is a plus)
Nice to Have
- Jira Align experience
- Jira Service Management (JSM)
- EazyBI or Tableau reporting
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, RTE, SPC)
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Ideal Candidate: Someone who is a true Jira/Atlassian expert, enjoys coaching teams, understands Agile practices, and can design the right solutions—not just perform basic administration.
