I am looking at Jira query to fetch defects reported 1st time

Defects when raised in Sprint 1 not closed gets moved to Sprint 2. In this scenario when I try to plot Two dimension Gadget, I see same defect appearing in Sprint 1 count and Sprint 2 count. I have to summarize Sprint based defect reporting for multiple projects but I am not finding quick and easy way.

Are you using scriptrunner? 

If yes, what you have to do is tune the filter query used in the gadget with the jql function  completeinsprint => https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/jql-functions.html#_completeinsprint .

Thanks for your quick response however I am not using Scriptrunner. Jira Issue search and then plotting on Dashboard using Two Dimensional Gadget.
