I am an admin, but when I try to access my boards it says I need to ask admin to approve

I am a free tier plan and when I try to access my boards or work items I get this (even thought I am the admin) - not sure how to access my boards... seems like a dead end loop. Can you help?

Hi @barak_joze ,

This is a common issue: "Admin status" does not include "Product access" by default. Even as a Site Admin, you must assign yourself a seat to access boards.

Steps to fix:

  1. Go to admin.atlassian.comDirectoryUsers.

  2. Select your profile.

  3. Under Product access, toggle Jira Software ON.

  4. Note: Free plans are limited to 10 users. If full, remove an inactive user first.

Also, please keep in mind that.

Being an admin, especially in Cloud systems, does not automatically mean having access everywhere. Atlassian systems have a very layered permission model, especially for security reasons.
