I added an Epic as a parent to a story. Now it won't let me do the same to the issues of the sprint.

I'd like to add an Epic as a parent to all items in the sprint. However, Jira doesn't recognize them. I click on the parent tab and it doesn't even show there, and there is no child tab. How should I proceed? Thank you.

Hello @Gustavo Ernandes Jardim Franco

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Can you provide the details of the steps you are executing and screen images to help illustrate the process? When we have clarity on how you are trying to accomplish this we can provide advice on alternate steps.

Additionally can you tell us the type of project from which the issues are selected to display in your board? You can get project Type information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

Thank you.

I guess the right question would be: how to add child issues? And are they the same as subtasks?

The option to add child issues does not appear on the issues. Here is a screenshot in which I managed to add an Epic as a parent.
