How to validate version based on their order seq in the version hub using Scriptrunner?

Hi Experts,

I have custom version field named 'Target Version' and I would like to validate the 'Target Version' field based on their order sequence in the version hub. one unreleased version from bottom up in the order. example 19.2.9 and 19.3.0 unreleased version, user should be able to select 19.2.9. I know we have Boolean validator earliestUnrelease version function but the problem with this is 19.2.9 and 19.3.0 are the same release date and 19.3.0 has earlier start date than 19.2.9.

Any help would do.

Can we use getSequence() function to get first unreleased version in the version hub, I don't know how to use this function.

Please need help.
