How to upload (Import) defects in Excel to Jira?

I have a set of defects in Jira and raising one by one is a big task. is there any way with which i can upload the excel file to Jira and get the defects logged?

Hi,

You can use the CSV importer from JIRA to import a set of defects from Excel to JIRA.
