How to update a task with the new info using Structure drag and drop

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
I have a manually defined Structure with EPICS, Stories, and tasks. I have used drag and drop to move tasks (after being created-thus being new tasks) between stories but when moving to the new story, the task does not get updated with the new links, sprints, and EPIC links.
I am moving Test Task #3 into the Painting Labor story. but the task never updates with the appropriate links, and associations.
Is this a a known issue? If so is there a resolution? Is there a workaround?
