How to unlink a story from an epic

I put a story in an epic. now i want to take it out of the epic. 
I don't see the "X" that I am supposed to click.
Here is what I see:

Hi Mark,

If you click to the right of the Lozenge 'Incentive Metrics Screen...' it should turn into an editable field where you can then delete the Epic from that field.

Hi @SymFinTek

You can remove the epic from the issue by:

1. clicking on the epic field that you are pointing to in your question to edit it (note: don't click on the coloured epic lozenge itself, but the field around it as shown in the screenshot below when you hover over the field with your mouse)

2. Back space to remove the text

3. Click outside of the field to save it as empty

Just to clarify in step 1 - you need to click to the right of the Epic Lozenge. 

If you click on the Epic Lozenge itself it will take you to a screen for that Epic (which I don't think is where you want to go).

In my view the epic name barely fit into that box and I had to click maybe 20 times to open up that blank space :/
