Hej!
Using filters in my plan does not seem to reduce the amount of data shown but only the way it is displayed. So if, for example, I filter by type in order to limit my view to initiatives and epics, all other issues not belonging to this group of issue types are still part of the result but only sort of inactive (greyed out).
Is there any option to really hide the issues I don't want to see that moment?
Best regards
Marcus
Hi @Marcus Schmitz and welcome to the Community!
This is happening because - at the bottom of your filter settings - the checkbox show full hierarchy is checked. In many cases, that is very useful to still keep context of your filtered data across the entire plan.
Unchecking that box should remove the items that are not part of your filter results.
Hope this helps!
Oh dear... now I'm a bit embarrassed... thank you very much for the helpful and quick answer!

Haha, don't be 🤗 - it is not the first time it's been asked and it is a well hidden little thingy ...

Well... from an UI/UX point of view I would raise the question whether another way of putting it instead of "show full hierarchy" could be helpful. I've indeed seen this checkbox before but did not link it to what I had in mind. One fundamental principle in UX/UI is: "Don't make me (the user) think".
