How to throw alert messages to users in Jira cloud ?

Priya ThirumalaiKrishnamoorth July 4, 2024

Hi,

I want to alert users when a field is filled with incorrect format/information. I know that we can use workflow validators to do this. What i want to know is do we have any app (behaviors) that can throw error message upon any change to the specified field. I do not want to wait for workflow state change to happen to throw validation for the field.

Hi Priya - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I would say that you should try the Behaviours app - it's the only one that I know might be able to do that.

Hi John, Thanks for your response

Yes, i was thinking on the same lines to use behaviors. But i was not able to find the right syntax to throw error message/alert the user? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I don't use that app. Reach out to their support to see if they can provide that.
