Hi,
we would like to create issue template and add variable of Fix Version/s value in summary, so the version can be selected when using the template. But aren't able to it for this particular field.
Can you give me an advice how to do it? I guess the problem is in the "/" character that isn't allowed in the variables. Is there a way how to do it at all in case of this field?
Hello @Jan
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Your post tags include both "cloud" and "data-center". Which one are you actually using? Click the Help button near your avatar and select the About option. What version number do you see there, if any? If you see something like "1000" then you are using the Cloud product. If you see something like 10.3.2 then you are using the Data Center product.
Creating issue templates is not a native feature of Jira. Which third party app are you using to provide this functionality within your Jira instance? Can you provide a screen image of the template configuration screen?
Hello
thank you. It's Data Center version. We are using Issue Templates plugin. I was able to setup the variable itself after all, but when entering any value in "variable" field, the value is not displayed in the issue. Doesn't matter if it's setup as select list with predefined values or a simple text field.
Could you please advise how to make it work?

Hello @Jan
I apologize for the delayed response. I didn't get notification of your reply.
I don't have experience with that plugin nor access to a Data Center instance for testing.
I recommend that you reach out to the support team for that plugin for more assistance.
