Hi All!
I have been struggling to find the answer as to how to set this up so just to explain my situation.
Essentially I have multiple development teams who work on separate products therefore require separate sprints and separate backlogs per team/product, and I want to be able to capture this within a single project within Jira.
So In this project I want to have.. lets say 3 teams with 3 separate backlogs, sprint cycles and boards.
How do I achieve this in the actual setup of Jira? I have the parallel sprint configuration enabled - however I think I am getting stuck on the filtering per board to segregate and create seperate backlogs. (I can't seem to make another backlog). If you look at the attachment, I would want to have the CL-DELEGATES board show only the Delegates Sprint, and the backlog only have delegates backlog items. (at the moment there is only 1 backlog that is shared between Brochure and Delegates)
Any help appreciated!
Any help appreciated!
Hi @matthew.wah
If you are still looking for a way to set up multiple backlogs and sprints for one project, you can try Dynamic Filters: JQL Replacer addon (created by my team). It allows you to set requests easily without JQL knowledge.
All you need is to choose the required data with the help of a visual designer:
Then save it as a dynamic filter:
Thus, you can use it whenever you need it.
Hope it helps.

You can do this, but you will need to use multiple Boards, and not the one that is created with the Project by default. You will need to create a JQL Filter that displays the issues for Team A, then save that filter and create a Board with that Filter. Then repeat this for each team so that each team has its own Board. If you have issues that exist on more than one board, when it is added to a Sprint, that Sprint will be added to any other board that the Issue is present on, so you can't have the same Issue in multiple Sprints. The docs on configuring boards doesn't really address this specific use case, but it shows you how to manually create a Board. I hope that helps.
