How to set up email messaging in JIRA for activities that are timed to achieve in Gantt schedule

Hi, I'm new user on Jira. I would like to set up the tool to send e-mail to the owner of the activity, to remember the expiration of the scheduled dates that are to expire. Just like Trello works. Because, it will help users to remember the note of their scheduled activities.

Out of the box JIRA only sends emails based on events that fire during transitions, commenting, or editing. The notification scheme controls what users receive emails based on the events. You'd need to use a plugin to do anything else.
