Hello everyone,

I've been assigned to a large JIRA enterprise project, where I recently had the below request from one of the key stakeholders.

  • His JIRA SW project has 3 teams, where each team is responsible for different components. Component leads are notified when new issue is generated.
  • He wants the same email notifications as component lead to 3 different team emails when new issues are created.

Please note, we aren't allowed to create any non-human user in JIRA. Would you have any alternative suggestion (without any additional plugin) as how to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

Syed

Hello,

I think you would need an add-on for it. For example, Power Scripts. You can find more info here

Or you could use Adaptivist ScriptRunner. You can find more info here:

Hi Alexey,

Thanks for your kind response. I was looking for a non-addon tweak though.

For now, I've created 3 filters aligned with the components belong to each team and got respective people  subscribe to those. Kind of an easy and dirty way, but does the job.

Regards,

Syed
