How to see epic name in the substask?

Павел Заморев March 14, 2022

My case:

I use Epic, user stories and subtasks.
I need to see epic names in the subtasks to group them on my kanban board.

Sub-tasks are in an Epic by virtue of being a part of a Story that is in the Epic.

So, they don't have their own epic name view, you're expected to derive it from the value on their containing story.

This is annoying though, because it makes reporting difficult.  Sometimes there is a good reason to be looking at Epic, story and sub-tasks all together, and I usually "fix" it by creating a scripted field for the Epic things that I want to search and sort on in sub-tasks.

Thanks for feedback!

I think so too. Do you have any examples or advice how to do it?
Custom field or labels automation?
