Hey there,
I implemented a quick support email address via an incoming mail handler that creates a ticket with the subject and message of the email. As it should be anonymous for complaints, I would like to remove the "Created via e-mail received from" comment in the ticket. Is there a way to do that?
Hi @Valentin Grabner and welcome to the community,
If you are using email handlers then you can set a default reporter for the created issues. Read more here https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/create-issues-and-comments-from-email/#:~:text=will%20be%20rejected.-,Receive%20emails%20from%20new%20users,-To%20allow%20Jira
Another solution would be to use an issue collector, which can be set up to accept anonymous issues.
Hi, thanks for your answer!
Setting the default reporter does not get rid of the "Created via e-mail received from" as far as I know, as it is within the description of the ticket created via the email handler.
Is there another possibility to convert incoming emails to tickets without the appended "Created via e-mail received from" or is the issue collector (so basically a form to fill out) my best option?
