Hey,
I ran into the following Problem. When I search for an Epic for a Story/Bug all the Epics are shown that were created with that name.
Even though Epics are marked as done and their Status is closed, they are shown in the search. And also Epics from other Projects.
Is there any way to remove them from that search without deleting them or chaning their name?
Hi Jonas,
At this time there is not a way to hide these completed epics from these list of options. However there is an existing feature request to try to improve this behavior over in JRACLOUD-72576. I would recommend watching and voting on this issue.

Without deleting or renaming the epic itself, the only other idea I can think of would be to have an admin create a new project, and then restrict which users can see that project. If you did that, AND then moved the epic itself to that new project, users that don't have access to see that issue won't be able to select that epic as an option. It's not an ideal solution, I grant you. But it is one way that you could keep most users from seeing it as an option without deleting the epic.
Personally, I would tend to gravitate more towards renaming the epic itself and appending some value to the title like (Done) or (Complete). But what also might be more helpful is to rename the existing epics that are still a work in progress to use some similar appended naming convention like (WIP). This way users could search by those characters to find epics that might still be a work in progress so to speak.
I hope this helps,
Andy
