How to read / write "lead/lag time" in Structure Gantt?

Hi,

in Structure Gantt for Jira, there is the possibility of adding a lead / lag time to the dependency of two items. It can be used to create an artificial gap between the two items.

I need a way to read / write this value from either Jira Automation or Structure formular.

It's quite annoying to click on every single connection and update that value manually. I would like to have a custom field within an issue that holds the actual value which is then applied to the dependency.

Unfortunately I couldn't find anything.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Hello @Chrias OtM

It's not possible at the moment. In short, it's quite challenging to display the Lead/lag time because it's not attached to work items like field values are, but rather to dependencies/links between work items. It's not possible to store this value/synchronize it in Jira somehow for the same reason.

However, we're looking into exposing the attribute in a column, possibly displaying it for both work items that are connected with the link with the Lead/lag time value. It's not clear yet if it can be implemented, but this is something that we're interested in trying in the future.

I hope this helps. If you have more questions about Structure, please reach out to us directly at our support portal.

Hi Stephan,

thanks for the answer. Unfortunately it only helps partially as it doesn't solve my issue. But it tells me that I can't use the "lead/lag time" property.

Thanks
