Hi,

My Jira Cloud instance (https://webelevatetechnologies.atlassian.net/) subscription seems to be inactive/expired.

I am trying to reactivate it but I am not able to find the correct option in Atlassian support or admin panel.

Could someone guide:
1. How to reactivate an expired Jira subscription?
2. Is there any time limit after which it cannot be restored?
3. Will my data still be available after reactivation?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Webelevate Technologies ,

When it comes to support tickets regarding to licenses/instances/billing you can reach out through https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/

As @Arkadiusz Wroblewski mentions though there are limits to what can be restored.

Hello @Webelevate Technologies

In most cases you can still reactivate it, but the first thing to check is whether you are looking in the right place and whether you are a billing admin.

The normal path Atlassian documents is:

  1. go to admin.atlassian.com/billing
  2. select the correct billing account if you have more than one
  3. open Subscriptions
  4. open the Inactive tab
  5. find the Jira subscription and click Reactivate. Atlassian also says you can reactivate by starting a new trial on the existing site if needed.

For your other two questions:

Will the data still be there?

  • If you reactivate within Atlassian’s data-retention window, your app data and preferences are restored. Atlassian’s current storage docs say the retention period is 15 days for trials and 60 days for Free, Standard, Premium, or Enterprise plans.

Is there a point where it cannot be restored anymore?

  • Yes. After the retention period ends, Atlassian says the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
