Hello,
My helpdesk team uses a "Time Tracking" field on their IT cards. I never set it up and looks to be a default suggested field when you go to your card, click configure, and manage which fields you want to be shown in the Issue View. They mark how many minutes they spend on each ticket which then correlates to a certain cost on my end- and I am wanting to figure out which gadget I can use to pull that information?
I keep seeing suggestion on filtering "Time spent" but it's not the same thing.
Hi @Jayda Zeller,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Time tracking is actually three fields; original estimate, time spent, and time remaining. If you want to see the total amount of time that has been logged on an issue then you should use time spent.
Original estimate and time remaining is used in the bar graph that you see in the issue detail view, in this case the time logged is 2 hours so the graph will show that you exceeded the original estimate (time remaining is a negative number in this case).

Thank you, but how can I pull this information into a separate graph? Like a widget for a dashboard? I would need to see the total amount of time logged on all tickets for every month. (For every 15 minutes logged = 1 ticket for my helpdesk team, so I need something to gauge how many tickets there will be.)

You would either need an app from the Marketplace that can report on the the time spent, or upgrade to enterprise so you get access to Atlassian Analytics which allows you to report on time spent.
