How to move epics and user stories from ALM JIRA to Digital / WPB JIRA

ALM JIRA instance is separate from WPB JIRA instance. Different teams are using different JIRA instances/servers. Hence, in order to obtain the traceability, is there a way to move ALM JIRA story to WPB JIRA?

What is your relationship to these instances? Are you an end user or one or both? Are you a Jira application administrator for one or both?

Are these Jira Cloud instances or Jira Data Center instances?

If Jira Cloud instances are they...?

• owned by the same company or different companies
• under a single Atlassian Cloud Organization or different Atlassian Cloud Organizations
• managed/administered by the same support team or different support teams
• connected to a shared IdP or different IdPs or not using IdP

Do you really want to move the item from one instance to another, removing it entirely from the source instance? Or do you want to make a copy of it on the destination instance?

If making a copy do changes in the two need to be synchronized?

Are you looking for a native solution or are you open to third party apps like the one suggested by @John Funk ?

Thee ae a variety of add-ons that will help you with this - connectors between Jira instances. One such would be the Revyz Command Center for Jira which will allow you to clone a work item in one instance into another instance.
