Hello,
I'm just new to this stuff, so bare with me.
So right now, i manage a multiple squad in my company. Every squad contain a full team to create the product ( UI & UX Designer, Front End Developer, Back End Developer and QA Engineer) that working together on each sprint.
Sometimes, there is some project that private, so other squad can't browse and access it. Right now i have standard group such as :
- Jira-user-software
- Developer
- Site Admin
Let say that i have a combination like this
Project :
1. Project A
2. Project B
3. Project C
Team Members :
1. Team Member A-1
2. Team Member A-2
3. Team Member B-1
4. Team Member B-2
5. Team Member C-1
6. Team Member C-2
Configuration that i want to make is :
- Project A its only visible and accessed for [Team Member A-1] [Team Member A-2]
- Project B its only visible and accessed for [Team Member B-1] [Team Member B-2]
- Project C its only visible and accessed for [Team Member C-1] [Team Member C-2]
How to manage that?
Really - really need your help all.
If you want to achieve this ..
- Project A its only visible and accessed for [Team Member A-1] [Team Member A-2]
- Project B its only visible and accessed for [Team Member B-1] [Team Member B-2]
- Project C its only visible and accessed for [Team Member C-1] [Team Member C-2]
Then simply create 3 projects and add specific people individually to roles in your project. Access depends on the permission scheme that you have defined. I suggest to configure it to use those roles (especially Browse Project permission). If you want to get more access control over specific issues individually then you use Issue Security Levels for that.
That doc might help you understand that basic configuration - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/limit-restrict-user-s-project-access-280069544.html
