How to make system fields mandatory on screens

I have created a project that the lead wants to make the majority of the fields mandatory

For the custom fields that just belong to this project i've ticked 'required'

For the custom fields that belong to multiple projects i've created behaviours

But for the system fields of Start Date & Due Date I can't figure out how these fields can be made mandatory?

You can control the field's mandatory/optional setup natively using the field configuration scheme.

I've read through all of this and it doesn't explain how I can make a field (used by multiple projects) mandatory just on one project

The Project has it's own field configurations but there doesn't seem to be a way of making the Start Date and End Date (system fields) mandatory just in this one field configuration

Unless i've not understood what you've shared correctly

Did you try to use Field Validator?
