The comments added under Jira tickets appear in HTML format. How to change them to apprear as plain Text?

Are you typing in (or pasting in) HTML in the comment?
Have you instead tried pasting in plain text? One way to do that is to paste your source into a plain-text editor first, re-copy the text, and then paste.
