This used to work a while ago.
Suppose the following scenario:
Now however, when i login to Jira with User A, I can't access bitbucket in the same browser window anymore with User B without logging in User B into Bitbucket. When I do that however, I again get logged out as User A from Jira.
This is really annoying because I need to open both platforms in the same browser window.
Please advise why this isn't working anymore and how to fix it.
I can confirm that this was possible, and that there was a change that made this impossible. I also used 1 jira account with 1 other bitbucket account next to each other in 1 browser(for a long time).
I contacted support about this, and the response was that there was a change that rendered this impossible. Support did not mention a specific date, but did say: "We have made this change to provide ability to give customers a consistent experience across products which was not the case earlier"
I understand there decision, but it is a little bit inconvenient for people with more accounts (from businesses or customers)
I was also able to do this up until two weeks ago. I went on vacation for a couple of weeks, just back today, and now I'm unable to log into JIRA and BitBucket with different accounts.
To get around this, I'm using the JIRA desktop app, but this is not ideal.

This was possible just a few weeks ago. I suggest you re-enable this, everything else doesn't make sense. It's simply not acceptable for a Software company like Atlassian that users have to use another browser or a private browser session.

At present, a browser can only have one Atlassian Account session open, so the simple answer here is "you can't". You have to use another browser, or a private browsing session to log in a second account.
