I need to include some sensitive assets in Jira Insight for which I need to limit access to for only a certain number of users. This selective set if users only may list, read, edit, delete this specific asset type.
How can I accomplish this?
Thx.
Rob
Hi @Rob Cordes ,
I feel like you have 2 options here.
1) set up a different scheme for these sensitive assets and only give rights to the correct users.
2) On the objectType you can also set roles (same as you would on the entire schema). There you can limit who can see/access/change the objectType.
You cannot do this on an asset level itself but you can on the object type.

You don't mention if you use Datacenter/Server or Cloud so if you can clarify the hosting option we could drill down a bit more.
Hi Dirk,
Jira is hosted for us. Thanks for the answer, it looks like it is the easiest way to configure a specific set of roles that may then access a specific object type then.
I'm not doing the admin setup myself, but am a dependent stakeholder. SO I guess when I tell this to the guy administrating the schema, it will get done.
BR,
Rob
