How to integrate ProductPlan percent complete on Jira next-gen product

I have completed the Jira to Product Plan integration but can not find how to establish a workflow scheme to my project in Jira...I am told this is required to update the percent complete in ProductPlan during a sync.  Has anyone been successful in assigning a new/archived workflow to their project on the next-gen product interface?

I'm afraid next-gen doesn't use workflow schemes.

I would want to look at what ProductPlan is trying to extract from Jira to generate its "percent complete" here.
