How to integrate Microsoft SSRS' Custom Reports into Jira?

Client previously used the Eclipse BIRT for SQL+JQL plugin to display customized reports from inside Jira. 

The BIRT plugin is deprecated. Client wants to achieve a similar function using Microsoft SSRS' customized reports.

I've seen some articles on importing data into SSRS from Jira, but I'm trying to do the opposite. I'm trying to display custom SSRS reports from inside Jira. 

The only option I've found so far is to create my own Jira plugin. Which would take quite a bit of time to figure out from scratch.

Is there a simpler solution that I'm missing?
