How to integrate Bi-direction flow between Jira and ServiceNow using REST API / Automation

Need to know step by step from JIRA side how do I have a bi-directional flow between JIRA and SNOW using REST API or  using Automation tool ?

This is Majid @ Exalate. 

In order to bi-dorectionally sync data between Jira and ServiceNow, you basically have two approaches i.e. 

1. DIY approach: build a custom solution using webhooks and REST API. This approach might turn out to be expensive and hard to scale. 
2. Integration app: Use an available integration app from the marketplace - like Exalate. The advantages here are that you get full scalability and a turn key solution. 

Exalate is the only decentralized integration solution out there. The major reason for keeping the app decentralized is data security and autonomy. One side needs no access to the other sides system in order for the integration to work.
