How to handle new issues for closed epics?

If new issues arise later for an epic which has been closed, how should it be handled? Do we reopen the epic or what? What would be the best practice for this scenario?

Hi @Sabeena Faizun ,

We using automation for Jira.

when an epic is in Closed / Done status. when a new story is added into that epic, there is an automation rule to transit the Epic Status to "In Progress".
