Now i have this that in task there is assignee, reporter, reporter boss. Tnx Intenso add on we have reporter boss in task.

Now next part. What is best solution to create approving. Is this best solution for approving https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskserver039/setting-up-approvals-942846193.html ?

And another ask if there is somekind level user ho boss must not approve (company boss does not must ask approve from company owner). How to solve this part?

Yes, you can manage approvals in your Service Desk out-of-the-box. There isn't a "higher level" above the Jira administrator, but you can add all the management staff to the approvers' list, so they wouldn't require approval by the admins.

Does it solve your request? Let me know.

Is it possible, that this out-of-the-box can handle case that my boss must approve my orders?

Sorry for a delayed response.

Yes, it is possible. You can also try add to your workflow the Only User From AD condition built into the app, as I mentioned earlier. if you choose it, you don't need to set up default approvals. However, try both options and browse the Marketplace for some more - at the end of the day, it's up to you what solution fits you best.

Good luck!

@Derek Fields _RightStar_ is absolutely right: the app does it with the Copy Property post function and a custom field on the issue screen. In addition, we've got the Only User From AD condition there, which can restrict the approval only to the manager displayed in the field.

Read the user docs for more info:

https://intenso.support/addon/server/active-directory/latest/using-data-in-workflow-condition/

In case of additional questions, feel free to write me back :)

Hi
with this copy property we have now automaticaly reporter boss on jira view.

Is there any good solution that if i made task where boss must approve before somebody work with this issue. boss get emial to approve or not. how jira will understand that boss approve or decline accept? any good add-on or use subject with somekind word?

I'd recommend to set the Copy Property post function's output to the Request participants field - this will just add the boss to the issue without affecting reporters and assignees. Here's the setup guide in our user docs:

https://intenso.support/addon/server/active-directory/latest/using-data-in-workflow-post-function-copy-property/

Then, as I mentioned earlier, we've got the Only User From AD condition in the app - set it on the workflow transition that you have right after Create Issue, so only this manager is able to push the task forward. Here's the user doc on this feature:

https://intenso.support/addon/server/active-directory/latest/using-data-in-workflow-condition/

I'm hosting a free webinar on this app tomorrow at 15:30 CET. I'll explain most of the app's functionality, provide a comprehensive setup guide and 10 best ways to use its features. Sign up here if you're interested ;)

Your question is not very clear, but I think you are asking about JIRA Service Desk approvals, which don't require a custom field. You simply need to indicate in the JSD workflow that an approval is needed. The Manager who is assigned to approve will be able to access the same information on the portal that user can see and s/he will then be able to indicate approval.

yes, if user make like new pc request from jira service desk portal, then first user manager/boss must approve request and after that helpdesk will do what they need to do.

but how i get user manager information into jira service desk?

we load users information with Active Directory Attributes Sync add-on into JIRA. this add-on can show under user his manager name but how i get this data into service desk approval?

Active Directory Attributes Sync has a Copy Property post-function that will allow you to copy a parameter from AD into a Jira field. You would use this to populate the Approvers field with the Manager. The Manager field from AD needs to be the Jira username for this to work.
