Hi ,
I am working on a project where we want to create issues in Jira via REST APIs.
That we are doing using the API available.
We have a field called Project description and Project ID.
Project description is a field where it finds matches like below
when we select one from the list shown, the Project ID field will be auto populated with a corresponding project ID of the selected project description.
But when create an issue via REST APIs, even if we provide the exact project description, the project ID column is not there in the created issue. When we do some kind of editing in the ticket, then the project ID will get displayed in the ticket.
Could you please help me how to get the project ID field also set when we create ticket via Rest API?
Hello @Anna Vincent
This sounds like an interesting use case. In order for me or anyone to comment/ advise on this, kindly confirm how is the 'Project ID' field updated? Is there an Automation running which updates the field? If yes, kindly share the rule settings as well.
Regards,

There was mistakes in setting the field values.
Later i figured out that.
Thanks for your reply
