When changing the key of a Jira project the old key is still kept on record to allow a seamless migration to the new Jira project key.
Therefore the old key is unavailable to be used for new Jira projects. It will only be released for re-use once the project is being deleted.
As we have a couple hundred Jira projects and many of them have already had their key changed in the past: is there a way to see all project keys being 'locked' due to previous key changes in projects?
