Hi @Devakumar

Welcome to the community.

Ootb this is not possible, you will need to revert to a 3rd party marketplace app on time writing.

Hi @Devakumar

Welcome to the Atlassian Community 👋🏻

Jira Cloud does not natively provide a Timesheet feature or a reporting view for worklog records. We understand how important this requirement is, and we don’t want this limitation to block your reporting and time management needs.

🌱 If you are open to using third-party apps, WorklogPRO Cloud (WLPC) can be a solid alternative.
WorklogPRO Cloud is an advanced time tracking and timesheet solution built on top of Jira’s standard worklog structure.  👇

Timesheet & Time Tracking

  • 📅 Weekly and monthly timesheets automatically generated from Jira worklogs
(Optional custom date ranges can be defined)
  • 👤 A personal timesheet view where each user can see only their own worklog data and customize it based on their needs
  • ⏱️ Specific time periods can be defined, and time logging can be restricted to those ranges.

Admin & Manager Reporting

  • 👥 In scenarios where users have different holiday calendars and working hour schemes, admins and managers can:
            - Assign user-specific working hours and holiday schemes
            - Generate user-based timesheet views calculated according to these schemes.
            - View timesheets in a row-based, user-specific format
  • 📈 Detailed visibility of logged time per user, per issue, and per project
  • 🔐 Permission-based access ensuring full reporting capabilities for team leads and managers
  • 📆 Weekly, monthly, and custom period reports

Reporting & Export

  • 📊 Easy-to-access charts, graphs, and dashboards specifically designed for reports and timesheets
  • 📤 Exportable reports (Excel / CSV)
  • 💰 With Billable / Cost features; User- and project-based cost and billing reports.

🍀 To learn more, feel free to contact me or explore the application through the Atlassian Marketplace link I’ve provided. 🍀

Hi @Devakumar,

Welcome to the community!

Native Jira doesn't support weekly timesheets. If you’re looking for a solution that focuses on project health and time aggregation, you might want to check out TeamTime for Jira.

It helps admins see the "big picture" by summing up worklogs across the entire hierarchy (from Sub-tasks up to Epics/Projects) and comparing Estimates vs. Actual time in real-time. It’s an efficient, easy-to-configure tool for tracking project-level progress and resource health without the overhead of complex enterprise systems.

You can find it here: TeamTime for Jira (Marketplace) | Documentation

@Devakumar

In Jira itself, there is no built-in weekly timesheet feature.

What you can do natively:

  • Enable Time tracking (⚙️ Jira settings → Issues → Time tracking)

  • Make sure users log work on issues (“Log work”)

  • As an admin, view time via:

    • Issue view (Work log tab)

    • Filters + columns like Time Spent

    • Reports such as Time Tracking Report (very limited and not really a weekly timesheet)

However, Jira does not provide:

  • A personal weekly timesheet view for users

  • A clean weekly/monthly timesheet report for admins

  • Easy visibility of who logged what, when, across multiple projects

If you need proper weekly timesheets, Planyway for Jira covers this gap really well.

With Planyway you get:

  • 📅 Weekly timesheets automatically generated from Jira work logs

  • 👤 Personal timesheet view for each user

  • 👀 Admin / manager view to see:

    • Time logged per user, per issue, per project

    • Weekly, monthly, etc. reports

  • 📊 Exportable reports (for billing, payroll, or analysis)

  • Bonus: capacity planning and scheduling in the same tool

How it works in short:

  1. Install Planyway for Jira from Atlassian Marketplace

  2. Users log time as usual in Jira (or directly in Planyway)

  3. Open Planyway → Timesheets to see weekly reports

Welcome to the community !!

As suggested by everyone, a 3rd party app is needed for this requirement. If you are open to try out one for time tracking reports in Jira, pls take a look at

Worklogs Time Tracking in Jira & Timesheets

With this add-on, you can easily -

  • Create time reports in real time by grouping & categorizing data with aggregation
  • Prepare your reports based on Project/Sprint/Issue Type/Assignees and various other filters
  • Group your data to build more meaningful reports
  • CSV Export
  • Dashboard gadget
  • Enter Time Spent for multiple issues from Time sheet screen. With Calendar view and Board view

Hi @Devakumar

Welcome to the community 🙂

As a part of Worklogs - Time Tracking, Time Reports, Timesheets team, I would like to recommend our app as a price-competitive solution for time tracking and reporting, which will allow you to enable a weekly timesheet in Jira.

After installing the app, you and your team (you have full control over who gets access via permissions) will be able to create an easy weekly report overview like the one below:

current week.pngprevious week.png

Additionally, with our app, you can instantly create time reports by grouping and categorizing data in flexible ways. Filter results by projects, users, groups, custom fields, or JQL — and even scale your reports with Jira Advanced Roadmaps. You can add personalized dashboard gadgets, and drill down to the worklog level at any time. The app also supports time zone adjustments, holiday management, secure permissions, and easy export or sharing with stakeholders.

The license cost is calculated per Jira users in your instance, following Atlassian’s standard pricing model. You can find all the details for your team on our pricing page.

You can always try it out for 30 days for free and see if it fits your needs.

You can always contact us here if you have any other questions, or book a demo so we can show you the app at an online meeting!

Kind regards,
Agata
