Something similar happens to me, I want to edit the sprint and I need to modify the start and end dates do not appear, I attach what appears to me and then what I need.

1. what appears to me: "just let me modify the sprint goals field"
2. what I need: start "date y end date"

Thank you for reaching out.

The Start date and End date of Jira Sprints are editable only when:

1 - You click to start a new Sprint

2 - Or when you click to edit a started Sprint

Per your screenshot, I can see you have not started the Sprint 1 yet, that's the reason you can not set its Start date and End date.

That being said, please add the Start date and End date at the time you decide to start the Sprint, once those values can not be set before the Sprint starts.
