Hey Kristina — the short answer is that Jira's native dashboard filters don't index filters created inside third-party apps like Zephyr Squad, so they won't appear in the dashboard gadget's search. It's a known gap between Jira's filter system and app-level filter objects.
A few workarounds within Jira itself:
- Create a native Jira filter using JQL that mirrors your Zephyr execution criteria (e.g. filtering by label, component, or a custom field your squad uses), then add that as a dashboard gadget. It won't pull Zephyr-specific execution metrics directly, but you can get cross-project progress visibility this way.
- Use the "Test Cases" or "Test Execution" dashboard gadgets that Zephyr itself provides — these are separate from Jira's built-in filter gadgets and are designed to aggregate across projects.
That said, if the underlying need is visibility into execution progress across multiple projects in one place — not just test execution specifically — this is a problem we ran into a lot too.
