How to display a custom field, only, when resolution is set to fixed in jira?

I have the need for dev to provide the build number, when a bug is resolved/fixed. I want the custom field to be visible only when the resolution is changed to "fixed".

Any help is appreciated.

You can have two transitions, one for Fixed where you require the field and set the resolution to Fixed in a post function and another where you offer a select list of the other possible resolutions.
