I have a personal board that contains sprints from other boards. I don't know why these sprints are included in my board, as I did not associate those projects with my personal board, nor are they part of any of my filters for my personal board. I want to delete my personal board without affecting those sprints. This is incredibly frustrating:
Other sprints in my board:
None of these are part of my filter. If I delete this board, will these issues from other projects be affected?
Hello @Justin Work
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Please, allow me to bring you some concepts so we can confirm we are on the same page here:
Sprints are not related/restricted to single projects. If your boards return at least one issue that is added to a specific sprint, that sprint will be displayed on all the boards.
Usually, that scenario can happen by accident when:
1 - You incorrectly add an issue from your current personal board in the Sprint created in another board
2 - You move issues from one project to another, without clearing the Sprint field
You can check the documentation for more details about this behavior:
The same sprint is displayed across different scrum boards after moving an issue
That being said, if you want to delete your board without affecting the Sprints from other boards, you can do the following steps:
1 - Navigate to your personal board > Board settings > General > Edit filter query
2 - Add the following parameter in your board query to properly remove those Sprints, but without removing the existing parameters in the filter:
Sprint is EMPTY3 - Save the filter and check if the Sprints are not displayed in your board anymore
Once you remove the sprints from your board, feel free to delete it.
Let us know if you have any questions.
That worked just fine. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it! Be well
