How to create story from agile or kanban board?

Our account recently got upgraded to the new view/design.

Ever since I can not add a story by hitting "c" key or "create" button at the top.

How do I do this with the new version of Jira?

I don't want to go back to backlog all the time (even there is no option to open the full create story dialog anymore).

Fabian, what happens when you click "c" on an active sprint? It doesn't open up the "Create issue" pane?

Just tried again, today it works. It seems that right after the migration there was an issue, since it didn't work anymore.

The create button is still missing and is requiring two clicks instead of one in the left side menu. I don't mind that, if the keyboard shortcut is working properly.
