We have 3 Jira projects which are source of issues for Solution backlog. The issue types can be stories, spikes and epics. How do I create a Solution backlog from these 3 Jira projects and how do I prioritize the backlog?
Hello @Ankur G
What types of projects are these? Are they:
- Team Managed or Company Managed
- Software, Service, or Business/Work Management
You can create a new agile board that references all three projects. All the issues from all three projects would appear in the one board. In that board the issues can be prioritized. Note that prioritization of an issue is global. Changing the prioritization in that one combined board would affect the prioritization of the issues in all other boards in which they appear.
To create a board that combines the three projects, click in the search field at the top of the screen, then click the Boards button at the bottom of the pop up.
The click the Create Board button.
Click on the button for the type of board you want to create.
Select Board from an existing project and click the Next button.
In the next screen complete the fields and click the Create button.
You can select multiple projects in the Project field. Select each of the projects you want to include.
Note that this works for Company Managed projects.
If you are trying to make a board that includes a Team Managed project the instructions will be different.
