How to create an automation for a custom field when an option from another custom field is selected.

I want to get a prompt screen asking to fill a custom field when an option from another customer field is selected during creation of an issue.

for example I have created an issue type call change which contain a customer field call Types of change which has an option of "Other". Now when someone selects the "Other" Option, I want a custom field/screen to prompt and ask to enter a value in another customer field call "Specify other type of change" (this field is free text).

what is the logic to create this automation? Kindly help me out.

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What you want is not within the scope of the Automation for Jira feature. That feature is not capable of responding on-demand to a change in a screen and presenting another prompt.

I think you might be able to do what you want with the Adaptavist Scriptrunner Behaviours app.
