How to create Jira issues from text in Google Docs

Hello,

Is there any way to select text within a Google Doc and create an issue within Jira using that text as the Summary? Similar to how you can create Issues from Slack using the Atlassian/Jira app?

This would cut down on the copy-and-paste time to create new issues in Jira.

I'm aware that Confluence supports this.

Have you tried searching the Atlassian marketplace? I haven't used this, but I see there's a "Google Docs to Jira" app there: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1215925/google-to-jira-gtj-for-gmail-calendar-drive-and-chrome?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

I also did some digging and found one question similar to yours where someone used a script in Google Docs. Maybe that can work for you? Here's the original question.
