How to copy Excel Spreadsheet table to JIRA ticket description section directly

Heajin Kim May 24, 2018

I have the test cases spreadsheet from excel
1) I'd like to copy & paste to JIRA ticket description without using 'table' option in the description. how can I do it?
2) How can I adjust table column size like excel after copy to description? It is very painful

Currently I have to save to *.csv format & change ' , ' to ' | ' & copy and paste but description section is so small, it is not show properly. I even use the convert tool from Chrome Extension which is not doing very well either.

Thank  you for your help in advance.

Heajin.

I was able to copy and paste a table from Word to Jira and Confluence.  This works if you copy the table from Excel to Word first.

There are tools for that, like this one: http://excel2jira.bluurgh.com/

As I mentioned in the question description, I use the same tool which is not doing job properly in my opinion.

1) if a cell has multiple line, it goes next row instead of same cell which show very ugly table

2) can not adjust column size automatically depend on the number of columns...

Understood that it is not full feature of Excel but still have some expectation on a little better than what it is now.
