Hi everyone,

In my company, AI tools are currently not allowed. However, we might have an opportunity to introduce Atlassian Rovo, provided we can control usage and costs, or limit access to a specific group of users during an initial adoption phase.

For those of you already using Atlassian AI/Rovo, is it possible to:

  • Control or monitor usage and associated costs?
  • Restrict access to a subset of users (e.g., pilot group)?

Any insights or practical experience would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello @Albert Manuel

Each Rovo agent, even the out-of-the-box ones, have the ability to restrict users. To do this, navigate to your agent, click on Edit agent, choose Users and permissions. There are two roles Manager and Editor. Editor has full rights, which are even editing the agent itself.

Hi @Nikola Perisic ,
But once i activate the Rovo - wouldn;t that become available to the entire site? From my reading i understand that agents are something else, but people can use AI if i only activate Atlassian Intelligence for summarizing and etc - and i guess that come with a price as well

@Albert Manuel

That is a different thing then. When AI becomes active on the site, it becomes available for all of the users. Agents are the only ones that can be limited.

Oh, hopefully Atlassian takes measures to overcome this...
